Hello again

Yes I know it has been way too long since my last blog. I've decided not to do blogs from the last post, instead to just give a little update.

Braylen is now three his birthday was at the beginning of February. We had a birthday party for him but unfortunately no one was able to come because of the weather. He loved it anyways. The kids even got to sleep on a mattress in the living room while watching Toy Story three. He goes to speech therapy every week. the therapist said that the only real speech problem that he has is his pronunciation. He does really well during the sessions. He loves having Alekisio and Isabelle to play with. He is really lost when they are not around. Him and Isabelle are literally twins, when they get along with each other they get along and when they fight they fight hard. It is entertaining really. Then there is him and Sio. They feed of each other really. They are calm apart but when they are together they are something else.

As to me I am still in school. I will hopefully be done with LCCC by the end of this year and start Ashland University in the spring. I am still working at Kohl's 5 years this year. I will be glad when I have my career.

First Hair Cut

Uncle Walter talked me into getting Braylen's hair cut. I didn't really want to but before he came he talked me into it. After I was convinced I was a little excited on one hand I didn't want to cut off his curls but on the other I was sick of his hair being a mess. I don't like for him to look dirty and to me his hair being a mess made him look dirty. So we got his hair cut by the guy named Brandon who used to cut Walter's hair.

Little Sneak

The little sneak that he is, he got into grandma's markers and took a marker to his room. He was being a little too quiet so I checked on him and found him lying on his bed hiding one of his hands and then i saw his sheets and knew what he was doing. I looked around the room and found marker on his pillow, sheets, bed posts, plastic dresser, door and finally the wall but of course he drew on his face. Since I claim him I had to clean it off of the wood work Grandpa had just re stained. Luckily tooth paste works. My mom heard somewhere that tooth paste takes marker off of wood and IT DOES. Hallelujah!

Uncle Walter

Uncle Walter took leave and was home on the first. Braylen loved it, it was someone else he could ruff around and he had a cool new phone to get into. Bonus right?! He didn't like it when Uncle Walter would leave either. Every time Walter would go some where Braylen would freak, ok well maybe not every time but it felt like it.

First Snow Day

This year was the first year that Braylen played in the snow. He was so excited because he had his new boots and snow pants on. When I bought his boots he had to wear them right away. When it was nap time he refused to take them off so I let him wear them to bed.

When we got outside he went right into the snow and started trying to grab it. He loves to through the snow in ball form or not. I of course was freezing because I didn't have as much clothes on but he didn't care. He climbed in the snow and dragged sticks through it seeing the trail left behind him. I let him play until I saw his lips turning purple but he refused to go inside, so I had to grab him and carry him into the house and pried his coat and boots off. I told him he could wear the pants but he still wasn't happy with mommy.

Vacuuming

Of course after Christmas morning I knew that the vacuum would be his favorite toy and it has been. Every time me or mom vacuums he has to pull out his vacuum and help. The best part is that whenever we put the vacuum away his get put right next to ours or he gets mad.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning Braylen wouldn't wake up. Grandma woke up early and cleaned the kitchen and then tried to wake Braylen up. I woke up from her and it was really funny listening to her try to wake him up. I hung his Santa sack on his bed so she put it next to his head and shook it so the bells would jingle and leave the room. Next thing i heard was her yelling, "who came last night? did Santa come?" But he still didn't wake up. so she went and turned on Christmas music and that didn't work. She went into his room a couple more time then he finally woke up and I heard he say,"Santa?" My mom told him to come wake me up and show me what he got so I pretended to sleep. He was so excited. He started to pull everything out. Then we went into the living room and he wanted the presents. Santa brought me a stocking too. Almost everything was for Braylen. Grandma got a couple gifts and Grandpa got a gift car. Braylen got animal toys, dino puppets, elmo med kit, different trucks, a tent, gumball machine, card of numbers, letters, shapes and colors from Aunti Rachel, tools and his favorite a vacuum. We didn't save the vacuum for last but we should have I should have known, as soon as he opened it the only thing he was concerned about was the vacuum being opened. I put up the tent and he took the drill and started to try to fix it and he tried to fix Grandma' boo boo knee too.

We went to Grandma Isabelle's before we went to Aunt Carol's because my cousin Pat and his wife weren't able to come to Christmas eve add we had to open presents together. We got Pat and Vanessa Ohio State Snuggies because they love OSU and at Vanessa's wedding shower she said joking that she wanted a snuggie. Braylen got a ball and elmo phone. the Elmo phone is able to be programmed to say the kids name. But of course it didn't have Braylen but for some reason they had Bray so Uncle John put Bray and lynn together so it said Oh hello Bray-Lynn and sounded just fine. Braylen loved the ball because it had holes all over and he could catch it. Braylen of course loved playing with Pat. Any guy that plays ruff Braylen loves.

At Aunt Carol's Braylen just played with his new toys and relaxed. Uncle Rob came over and Nate came a little later. Me and Mom sat at the table and talked to Nate while Braylen ran between rooms. I hadn't seen Nate in a long time so it was nice to talk to him for a while. It was way different from last year having a full house and kids all over. But it was great.

Christmas Eve

This year Christmas Eve was at my cousin Matt and his fiance's house. It was dinner with her family and his. We got there late because I worked until 6:30, nice huh? As soon as we got there Braylen didn't want to go in but then he saw Grandma Isabelle and went right to her. It was the one familiar face he new so he was ok. But then he got used to the place that he was himself. It helped they have a cat. He crawled after that cat everywhere going Meow Meow and then there was the fish tank he kept tapping it yelling fishy. He would sneak snacks too. At one point Braylen went into the kitchen that was open because the house is an open concept. I asked what he was doing and Matt said, "oh son't worry he's just drinking bleach." He was close. When I got in there he had a spray bottle and started to spray it in him mouth then he tried to through it up because he didn't like it. After cleaning out his mouth we laughed about it.

Promise and Matt bought Braylen a present and it had a bus and dump truck with legos and then they got me lip gloss and air fresheners. We got Matt and Promise both Snuggies and they loved it. Braylen of course got all the attention from Promise and her mom Holly. It was so late I tried to get Braylen to sleep but he just would so I told him he had to clam down if he gets up so he went and laid down on Matt's lap. He adored Matt. Matt would spin him and turn him upside down while spinning him, which he didn't like so much, but loved playing with him. before we left Holly and Matt brought out a wicker basket and said they forgot a present. I was really confused but then I opened it and Braylen was in it laughing. He thought that was great. Me and him both where knocked out not long into the way home. Braylen was so tired that when we got home asked him if he wanted to put Santa's cookies out that he said yes but fell back asleep. So Santa was jipped of his cookies this year. Sorry Santa.
