10 Months

so braylen is now 10 months and 9 days but the picture is his ten month picture.he's a little stinker. He love to push stuff up to the table or couch to climb on and get higher. i thought him oh no so he puts his hands on his head when i say oh no braylen. he feeds himself or he wont eat. and the last thing he does is i'll cover him up with his blanket and he walks around like a ghost with his arms up.

Thanksgiving & Black Friday

Yes I know this blog is well over do but I've been really busy. I finish this semester with three classes passed. I passed my math, child development and english. And I've Been working A LOT.


Any ways, we had thanksgiving over my Aunt Carol's. He loved it and was actually really good about getting into things. He ate stuffing, mashed potatoes, a little turkey and a little ambrosia salad. My Grandma and uncle from my dads side also came over to eat too. when we ate the only place to put braylen was in a big chair. he loved it. He was the center of attention. After dinner we let Cabo into the house but put him in the basement. the gate is at the top of the stairs so he would come up to be pet. Braylen loved it until we turned off the lights. we were all in the living room and heard braylen start crying like he was hurt. when i went to go see he was standing 4 feet from cabo crying. it was pretty funny.


On black friday i work 3am - 11:30am. it actually wasn't that bad. we were really busy so it went really fast. all i know is that i wont do it again.

Jesus is playing with them

In may of last year when my grandpa died Nicole and Alekisio came home. It was a beautiful spring so we played outside a lot. we had to balls a soccer ball and basket ball. when we didn't want Sio playing with them we would put them on top of our mom cabinet, that has a statue of Jesus on it, and tell him that Jesus was playing with them now. Well about a year in a half later guess what Jesus was still playing with them. haha we forgot to take them down and never payed attention. I know sad. but they are down now. but here is a picture.

Dave and Busters

So as a single adult activity we went to Dave and Busters. It was the first time I've been there ever. It's like an adults Chucky Cheese. I played about four games and got 1901 tickets. And of course the gift shop has pointless crap so i got braylen this bird puppet that when you squeeze his beak it squawks. I thought he would just love it. at first the noise set him back but then he loved it. its like his favorite stuffed animal minus the stuffing. he will pick it up and give it to you and then he kisses it. or he just carries it around. I think it is the funniest thing.

2 Weeks over do

I know I'm behind but I've been busy stressing out. Schools got me stressed. between work and school it seems like i have no time. anyways braylen is now 9 1/2 months old. I don't have any height or weight up dates because of his insurance. his ped. stopped taking caresource and what she does take doesnt go into effect until dec. 1. he's a little stinker but though. there's really not much different with him then his age though. there is more to talk about but i like to group the blogs.

First Halloween

Today was Braylen's first Halloween and he went as a Dragon. He was the cutest. After he took his nap I dressed him up and took him to grandpa's work and grandma's work. He was a hit everywhere I took him. I had to return some stuff at kohl's so I took him to my work too. They absolutely love him there. I took him trick or treating with my friend who's son is about a month younger then braylen and her boyfriend and his daughter. We went up and down two streets and by the end of the first he was asleep. I wasn't actually getting candy for him but a couple of houses told me to get some for him so i did. I mean i didn't want to be rude :P.

Hot Dogs, Feet and Books

Braylen now eats table food. He Eat everything we give him. Not bad huh with me being such a picky eater you'd think he would be but he loves all food. He even will drink my dad weird smoothies that he makes.

I don't know why but when Sio was little he used to cross his feet all the time. Well Braylen does too. I even think Nicole said Isabelle does too. the only time he does it is when he's eating, which is when i think sio did it most too. I swear if you never say there faces you'd know they were family.


One of the things that i think is the greatest is that braylen LOVES books. I hated reading and still sometimes do. But no he loves looking at them and turning the pages. He will either sit down and look at them himself or he brings you the book at you sit him in your lap and he'll let you read it to him. It makes me happy.

Surgery

Braylen had surgery on the 23rd. It was nothing major. He had a cyst by his right ear and they removed it. I honestly wasn't that nerves because I knew it was nothing serious. His surgery was at 7:30 and we had to be an hour early. I changed him into his little gown and it looked so cute on him. when they tried to take his blood pressure they couldn't find it so they left it on his toe until it worked. He weighed in at 23lbs. They took him back awake but I of course knew what they were doing. It took not even a half hour. When he woke up he wasn't happy though. I figured the reason being was he had not ate yet but also because he woke up in pain with a stranger holding him. The nurse made his bottle and he sucked it down in 5 minutes maybe less. They gave him a little bear that had patches with stitches. it's really cute. I have to go back on the fourth for his check up. I don't have pictures because i forgot it.(almost two weeks later)

No Laying on the floor

Ok so in our home if braylens up there is no laying on the floor. He takes it as a queue for wrestling. He loves it when grandpa lays down because he can climb pull hair you name it grandpa lets it.


I decided that he was old enough a while ago to use a sippy cup but the sippies i got he couldn't figure out. So i finally got him some that have handle on the sides and hallelujah he got it and holds it himself which is a big deal because he's a stubborn butt and refuses to hold his bottle. He's got much better too but he still doesnt get that you have to tilt your head back, so sometime i lay him on a pillow.

8 Month Marker

Saturday braylen turned 8 months. The Thursday before he took his first for steps. Now hes taking more and more. When he walks and gets excited, I swear he tries to run. he has his second tooth and i think there is two more. We have to keep the tables and edges clear because he stands on his tippy toes and reaches. Usually getting it.


He's having surgery on the 23rd. He has a cyst in a pocket by his ear that has gotten infected twice. It's not harmful but it can get infected a lot. The doctor said he's most likely going to put tubes in his ears also. He said he may need them later so he wants to do them now so he can get them done all at once. Which is fine by me.

First Steps!

Yesterday Braylen took his first steps. We were playing on the floor and he was climbing all over me. He stood up so i rolled onto my side away from him and he just started to walk to me. I was praying that I would see his first steps.

Taking off

Yesterday Braylen was pulling at his walker toy, so i pulled it out. He grabbed right on and took off walking. I took him outside and let him loose. I uploaded a video on you tube so it's with the rest of the videos on the right.

Two other new things he's doing is high fives. If you hold up your hand and say give me five he puts up his for you to smack. Also if you say, "How big is braylen?" he will hold up his arms and you say "SO BIG!"

First Tooth

Thursday Braylen's first tooth cut through.

I also keep forgetting to blog about his weird fetish. Braylen loves feet. Gross I know. Up until recently he would attack everyone else's feet and try to suck on them but he has know found his feet. well he did a couple weeks ago. but still he know has his own feet to suck on. Every once in a while he will go for my feet but he's pretty content with his own.

Compacting Clothes

I've been meaning to blog about these space vacuum bags for a while now. I was at work when I found out that we sold them and they were on clearance. The lady I sold them to swore by them. I've been wondering about them because i thought it be a good idea for braylens to small clothes. I bought a couple packs and started to put all his clothes into the biggest cube. I couldn't believe it I fit 2 1/2 tubs into the biggest cube and it still wasn't full but what was amazing was when I sucked all the air out it was about the size of 1 tub.

Not Enough

Last week Nicole told me that Walter yelled at her because she doesn't put up enough pictured and mentioned that I don't either. Today my mom told me that Walter told her that to and that I don't even have to blog to just put up pictures. My thinking is if he's mad at Nicole for not putting up enough pictures then he must REALLY mad at me.

I've been giving Braylen puffs and cheerios for a while now, so I figured i could let him feed himself for breakfast. Well i wont be doing that for a while. It took him forever and he kept gagging. I guess i have to wait til he has a couple teeth to let him feed himself.

One last thing. He loves mirrors. Every morning if i stop at the mirror on my door he smiles so big and usually kisses himself.

The ER visit

On monday I took Braylen into the doctor's because I thought something was wrong but he was ok. Well that's not the story now. He was fine this morning when he woke up. I went to school and when I got home he was napping. He woke up a different baby. He was really whiney and did but didn't want to be held. I wasn't going to go to work but my mom told me too, that she could handle it. Apparently after me and my dad left (he went to get my uncle Danny from the airport) Braylen got worse. I was at work for around a half hour when I was paged to answer a phone line. I knew what it was. I left work and took him straight to the ER at St. John West Shore. They checked his ears, swabbed for RSV, and took chest X-rays. He has a double ear infection and bronchiolitis. They gave him Children's Motrin and Tylenol. He was prescribed amoxicillin and breathing treatments. You could see the Motrin kicking in because he slowly became normal. So now I have my Braylen back to normal.

Another Month

My baby is know 7 months old today, and boy is he growing. It's funny because now he knows what the camera is so if he's doing something and I want to get a picture of it he stops and smiles for the camera. He is now getting around the furniture pretty good, claps but only when he wants to, and balances on his own. It's only a matter of time. Before he used to army crawl but now he crawls normal but only if he's not in a hurry or tired. he's like a little puppy now too. Right after I feed him, if he sees me eating he's at my lap begging. Oh he's also learned to stick his tongue out. It's the funniest thing.


On to me. I started school 2 weeks ago and let me tell you I'm beat. The first week of school I worked 35.5 hrs, went to school full time, did homework and took care of Braylen. This week wasn't too bad I worked less but everything else is the same. I knew it wasn't going to be easy but I have to do it for a better life. I told my work that I can't work more then 25 hrs but no less then 20 which is going to help a lot. School this semester I thought was going to be really hard because of the classes I'm taking but it's going to be easy as long as I read my books. I'm taking my last math and english, child development, and world civilization.

Too Fast

My little bug is getting so big. In a matter of two days he has sat up on his own and pulls himself up on furniture and walks along it. I just can't believe it. He only turned 6 months on Monday.

On a different note, when I go back to school while I'm working Braylen will be in daycare. I found him a daycare between work and school which is perfect. I'm so excited to go back to school. I can't wait until I graduate so I can start my career. So if you are wondering what I'm going to school for, I'm going for Early Childhood Education Pre k-3. It's perfect because I love kids, and when I get married and have more kids I can go back to work when they're in school. It will be like I'm still a stay at home mom because I'll be there whenever my children are home.

6 MONTHS!

I know I'm a day off but I went and got Braylens 6 month pictures taken. Today was the only day I have off 'til Thursday. We were going to go to JC Penny but I decided to go to Baby's R Us. They do a really good job. Here are the pictures:

New!

I've wanted to cut my hair for a while and do something way different. So today I went and cut my hair. I was so scared that it wasn't going to look right but everyone told me it would be fine. So here's my new look. I went from this:

Cabo!

Today we went to my aunt's house after a baby shower. She has this crazy dog named Cabo. We know Braylen needs to get used to him and Cabo needs to get used to a baby, so we didn't really stop him from sniffing and licking at least not in the face. It was so funny. At first I thought that his screeches were him being afraid, but it was more of him being excited but wherry. Every time Cabo came around Braylen would brace himself for the licks but if Cabo wasn't by him he would look at him and screech. Basically demanding him to come. Then I put Braylen on the floor to see if Cabbo would be ok but he went right to him and started licking and one point laid down across from him and stared. New Swing

Today my dad put up Braylen's swing that I got him off of Craig's list. It only cost me FIVE dollars. Amazing huh. Rachel found out that he loved to swing babysitting him one day. When I put him in it and started swinging him he just started laughing. He was in the swing for a little bit but then he started to get hungry.

Every morning he wakes up before me, so when I wake up I hear him talking to his animals. But once I wake up he knows because he pulls his bumper pad down about 2 inches. So when i move my blanket he sees and goes straight to the side I'm at and this is what i see:
